What is Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is a mental disorder associated with mental health marked by the extreme shift in mood. There is a sudden change in the mood called mania . They can also suffer from severe depression. It is also known as bipolar disease or mania depression.

People suffering from bipolar disorder suffer  in there day to day work. They suffer from depression , loneliness , anxiety , aggressiveness , sense of uncomfortable . Symptoms Of Bipolar Disorder

There are three types of symptoms usually associated with this disease.

  1. Mania
  2. Hypomania
  3. Depression

Mania – In this type of symptoms the person suffer from the sudden change in the mood or emotional misbalance . They feel over excited , impulsive , full of energy etc. They are also engage in several things

  1. spending sprees
  2. unprotected sex
  3. drug use

Hypomania – It is generally bipolar II disorder it is not that much severe .  As mania may encounter difficulty in there day to day . Hypomania does not suffer and encounter much problem in there day to day life work.

Depression

Types Of Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar I

Bipolar I is defined by the appearance of at least one manic episode. You may experience hypomanic or major depressive episodes before and after the manic episode. This type of bipolar disorder affects men and women equally.

Bipolar II

People with this type of bipolar disorder experience one major depressive episode that lasts at least two weeks. They also have at least one hypomanic episode that lasts about four days. This type of bipolar disorder is thought to be more common in women.

Cyclothymia

People with cyclothymia have episodes of hypomania and depression. These symptoms are shorter and less severe than the mania and depression caused by bipolar I or bipolar II disorder. Most people with this condition only experience a month or two at a time where their moods are stable.
